Aspire To Go Higher

ASPIRE FOLXWe were created for progress. For the upwardly bound forward thinkers, movers and shakers, comfort zones are rest stops on the way to where you’re going. To get there you’ve got to go there, which means you’ve got to move. Riding a stationary bike is excellent cardio yet you will always be where you began. If you want to be somewhere else, you need to identify the most effective means of transportation to get you there. Faith, prayer, determination, commitment, a made-up mind, and a can-do attitude will take you to victorious, more-than-a-conqueror places.

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and  faint.”  Isaiah 40:31

God used eagles to paint a word picture the readers could see. From Bible times to now, the eagle remains one of the most regal birds ever to grace God’s heavens. When we think of eagles, some words that come to mind are power, command, majestic, and capable. Eagles soar. It’s as if they own the sky when they fly.   EAGLE & RAINBOW

In this power passage, Isaiah tells us that we can expect to advance, which means we have God’s permission to aspire to go higher. When we wait on God to reveal a matter, illuminate a thing, equip us, prepare us, call us, and send us, we will occupy where we go. We will command it because God has performed it. You will be able to keep it because God will sustain it. You will mount up with eagle’s wings; will run and not get tired; you will walk and not faint.

Today, aspire to go higher. Reach for that goal that once intimidated you or even scared you. Commit more time to Bible study. Pray more. Praise more. Share Christ more. Take your marriage to a higher level. Reconcile that broken relationship. Forgive your friend. Hang out with your kids. Go get that job. Go back to school. Try out for that team. Apply for that home loan. Launch your dream business. Reach. Attain. Excel. Aspire to go higher.
